Wouldn’t that be making custard as normal from the packet, the pour into a dish while hot and leave to cool, refridgerate?

Our neighbour used to mix cold set custard (kind of solid) with jelly, so it looked like scrambled eggs mixed with scrambled jelly. Looked gross but tasted DELICIOUS (to us kids)
