Strings has made two, one is official world cup song. Junoon’s world cup song has been released.
In Feb, Haroon is releasing his world cup song for the team, then Najam (he said it today in Public Boltey hai), Jawad is comming up with his own World Cup song and last but not least Faakhir.
What’s going on here? I think it’s become a popularity contest now and these singers are in to make some bucks, but ofcourse it’s my openion.
I guess the Strings came up with something pathetic and Junoon didn't exactly set the world on fire with their off-beat lyrics. So, everyone is trying to sneak one in.
I don't understand what happened to the Strings. Their sound used to be so slick and professional. And just when they were needed to compose such a high profile song they screwed it up.
btw, good to see you back Dr.Evil after your hiatus. Please, keep posting, it's good to see people who're passionate about the Pakistani entertainment scene here.

actully I like the Strings' song. Not the first one but the one with video. I think it's good. I listened to Junoon's song and it's totally pathetic. Compared to Junoon's awful presentation Strings' is miles ahead.

Anyway, I have liked Tu Hai Kahan better than any Cricket Songs sang by Pakistani Artists. Sab Ki apni apni choice hoti hai. To some extent, it does looks like a World Cup song. Doesn’t it?
The best WC song ever is Abrar's Zor Laga Kay :D
The reasons we seeing these flow of songs is patriotism plus sponsorships by different multinational companies to promote their products.
Pepsi working with Strings for “Hai Koi Hum Jesa”, and Pepsi in 1999 WC released an album with the different singers,

and many more will be coming…
Now-a-days every singer is being prompted by different corporations whose products range from Tobacco to Tea to Shampoos to you name it.

As for tu hai kahaan, yeah its an excellent song, no doubt, nicely done with a good video.
Shahzada Faisal is also coming up with his world cup song, and the reason he is delayed is because his brother, the poet of the 21st century is having a hard time fitting college ki larkiyaan into his world cup inspirational lyrics.
