I had a facial done around my wedding time last year, I liked the effect it had. Now my wife says we should make this a regular thing as she sees lots of her friends come to the spa with their partners and get the facials and stuff done together. Anyway…
I was wondering about which ones or types are popular among men?
I’ve been advised by the therapist at this salon to get a brightening collagen facial which they do. My wife had it done and loves it. But I don’t know about how many men even know about it, and if anyone has done it and liked it?
its kinda pricey therefore want some feedback… otherwise I just might be the one to give feedback on how it was… lol
I don't know of any male who goes to a spa regularly (in my friends' circle). My husband had a couple of facials done (in Pakistan), around the time we were getting married. He doesn't get them here in USA, just uses exfoliating scrubs now and then. He usually asks me to do the cleanser, toner and mask routine for him sometimes, like once in 2 months or so.
Brightening collagen huh? Do you have fine lines?
P.S. No offense but I find the idea of men going to spas for facials kind of distasteful. Some things are better left for women, don't you think.
its not offensive but to be honest, in LONDON, spas are just as much for men as women. Its no surprise that LOADS of men in the upper circle spend days out in spas getting everything from massage to facials to MANICURES!!!
do you live in the USA? I thought it should be as good there, but not sure which state or city you're in though coz I know that if anything, this is nothing bizzarre or new for men there either.
Women actually are impressed by men who take care of themselves and spoil their partners, here they think its a thing of CLASS ;)
Sumo, do take him with you... he'll probably feel uncomfortable first, but he'll love it, honestly :)
Amir, we are Londoners also and it's most definitely commonplace over here.
With the highly stressful job that Mr Maroush has, he looks forward to coming to the spa with me for his deep tissue massage, maybe a facial, a pedicure (no polish ofc)... ... i think more men should do it... why should men not get pampered?

Yep, we live here, we're in the Washington DC area (Virginia actually). My husband is very meticulous and picky when it comes to clothing and fashion, into designers and brands and all but he's not into the Spa thing.
One factor, we're not from the UPPER circle as you put it. We both work and our friends' circle is all very practical self-made people, mostly in IT (I'm a software Engineer myself) so I guess the Spa thing doesn't really appeal to our men. Why waste money when your wife can get the same results for you at home and pamper you as well :D
But yeah, the upper class probably has a different take on this altogether. IMO, get the regular one done first, you probably dont need the collagen one. Have fun :)
