From my mum! She’s mixed.. Yeah, Dhaka Bengali sounds lovely but my favourite is Kolkata Bengali.. so perfect 
90% of the Bangladeshis in the UK speak the Sylheti dialect tho so u don’t hear much ‘real’ Bengali.. To me their language sounds a lot harsher..
When I was little my mum did try and teach me the Bengali alphabet but I never got beyond the first couple of lines, it’s really bad but the only word I can read and write is my first name..
