Re: How many cadet colleges are there?
Dont be fooled by every second 'cadet college' opening in every second galli mohalla these days.
Stick to the real deal :p
Cadet College Hasanabdal. Thats what started all this 'cadet college' craze everywhere. The original and still the best my a million miles.
CCH has both the O and A levels and the Matriculation and F.sc Pre Med/Eng.

Re: How many cadet colleges are there?
Sir, with all due respect, I wouldnt like to compare MCJ with CCH. There is no comparison. I'll even tell you that kids from CCH who choose to join the army is hardly 10 percent. Out of those 10, more than 60, 70 percent are those that join the army as a last resort (some do go because they really want to). Whereas the main focus of MCJ is on grooming kids for the Army. MCJ no doubt is a fine institution and 80 percent of the kids end up joining the Army, so the focus is strictly on the Armed forces and not academics as such (I have not to this day seen a CCH kid going to MCJ after Matric but i've seen 10s of alamigirians joining CCH after matric.... not saying ones better than the other, but you really cant put MCJ in the same bracket as CCH...
Academically, there is no comparison whatsoever... CCH doesnt boast about supplying fine gentlemen to the Army(the name might suggest it though). It prides itself in being one of the finest academic institutions of the country that has produced many brilliant people in its 50 odd years history. Initially it might have produced more military men, but the trend over the years has changed and academics is now the main focus while polishing young kids to be fine and well disciplined gentlemen in the future.
There is only one real Cadet College, and thats Hasanabdal.
