I’d like 4 but my parents think that’s a bit much (none of my aunties + uncles have more than 2 kids).. My other half is ok with it tho.. 3 of our own and iA one adopted :slight_smile:

I used to want 5 but now with my issues in conceiving, I will be happy if Allah even blesses me with 1 or 2…but the yearning for a big family is eating away at me with every day that goes by that I am not getting pregnant. :frowning:

kkf, doesn’t that depend on income level? i was trying to figure out the canada kid benefit thingie and couldn’t. doh! help!

Fiance and I agree…if the 1st child is a boy…then that’s it for us. If its a girl…we’ll try again…but 2 is the MAX no matter what.

**YES, your and your spouses NET income is taken into consideration [NOT your taxable income]…there is a formula to calculate the benefits which is quite tricky. it ranges from zero to $300 per child per month depending upon income. an additional $100 per month per child is available to working couples. also, kids under 7 get extra add ons of about $100 a month each.

i guess for a family of four with 2 kids under 7 years of age and couples working full-time making less than 37 K a year [household income] will receive about $500 per child per month…pretty decent…eh?**

**welcome…i think it’s abouit $87 k a year…it’s the family income and not the individual couple’s :slight_smile: the child benefits dwindle with the increase in family income.

my bro says…until late 80’s the benefits were universal but were ONLY $17 increasing to about 33 when it was replaced by National child Benefits.
