I just got married a month back and would like to know is there a time limit on how fast you have to apply for your spouse visa. I mean if we were to leave it for a few months and then look into it will it become an issue with the visa pl. The reason i ask is because so many ppl are giving me random answers and making the whole process of applying for a spouce visa sound like a rush to the shop counter before the shop shuts. Any help will be most welcome.

hmmm to be very honest the ukba/home office website does not say with in what time frame one should apply for a spouse visa. now it could mean that a couple could apply after 1 month, 1 year of their marriage (their choice).
but be prepared to answer any possible questions about why did you apply for the visa after such a long time. cause now you see that home office/ukba are very concerned regarding how genuine the relationship is.
the best would be to ring or email ukba about it.
moreover if you have a reason to delay the visa application then make sure that you are in touch with your husband during that time (via email, skype, facebook, phone etc etc)....and keep evidence of it so that you can say that we were in touch. (plus if your husband could make a visiting trip to your country that could be a benefit too...though that is not essential).
