Lets not get emotional hear. Please post only rational comments here.

I have great knowledge of history and I make educated prediction that israel will survive as long as 1) Israel has a technological superiority over its neighbors 2) It has a military superiority over its neighbors 3) and as long as it has the support of the most powerful countries.

Israel is a white man’s colonial state. THe white man stole AMerica from native americans, cause the native americans were weak and outnumbered. BUt in the middle east, it is not the case. The bast*rd state is a creation of white colonial powers. THe neighbors of israel are never going to recognize it truely in their heart, but have to tolerate it cause the arob countries are third world countries and can’t do anything about it right now.

However, I do feel that as the world is globalizing israel is going to slowly loose its edge. Asian countries are becoming powerful slowly. Chinese military technology is improving steadily and they often pass that tech to other countries. Plus eventough Muslem countries are technologically weak they are advancing steadily and will be able to scare the sh!t out of this colonial state. Economically, Moslem countries are growing fast( although not as fast as china). As technology is progressing new defense sytems would be created to marginalize israel’s nooke blackmail. In the world they already have advance anti-bollistic sysems.

As Pakistan did when it ripped itself away from India and of course history tells us all.

Many paths to its downfall:

1) Qiamat (if your a non-Muslim, don't have to agree)
2) When oil sources in Arabia are exhausted (KSA-100 more years?), the colony will be abandoned
3) Arabs overthrow their American-puppet governments
4) Iran gets Nukes (which they probably will), and 20-25+ more years of growth. And, if it keeps good relations with China, and Russia especially.
5) All neighbouring countries (including Turkey & Lebanon) and other Arab nations end relations with Isreal.
6) Rapid population growth of Muslims in the region (Israel & Palestine), and slower population growth of Jews, for 10-15 years (atleast).

Why is there such a perpetual hatred for Israel on this board. Israel is just as legitimate as the nation states of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt etc. It was created right alongside them, it's creation was agreed AND accepted by the Arab rulers who led the Arab nationalist rebellion. It's all just so irrational! Israel will not only survive, it will dominate the region for years to come in no small part due to its vastly superior human and intellectual capital.

when qiamat, it wont be israel that will fall, every other country in the world...

Since Israel is a homeland for Jews, I doubt even after KSA runs out of oil that it will be abandoned. Saudis will go back to herding goats like they did before the discovery of oil

If they do that. they wont receive any american military support that means that all those toys that the arabs have will be rendered useless.

If Iran gets nukes, it will become a pariah state because stating explicitly that its nuclear program is not about making nuclear weapons. Even if Iran gets nukes, Israel's missile defense is pretty strong and Israel it self has around 200 nukes. So If Iran fires a nuke at Israel, its inviting its own destruction. As for China and Russia, with a decline in the Russian population and the emergence of India as a counter weight to China, their importance is going down in the world everyday.

Turkey wont end relations with Israel because its a part of NATO and could be a part of EU. Lebanon doesnt have any relations with Israel, its Egypt and Jordan. If those two countries do end relations with Israel, they will have the most to loose.

Israel is building a wall which will put all of the Palestinian population on the other side of the wall. Even if birthrate is extremely high, if they cannot enter Israel, they cant do any damage to Israel. Israel with a population of 5 million Jews as fought against the 300 million arabs and 1 billion muslims. What makes you think it cannot continue to do this?

It is not 5 million Israelis against 300 million muslims. It was American might against these Arabs. Once the American support is gone the Isarelis will have to rely on their nukes to defend themselves. Their sinothign mythical about the Israeli armed forces. America comes to their resuce everytime. What makes you think they can continue without American support?

USA didnt help in 1948, 56, or 67...

USA did help in 1973 when Soviet Union was sending tanks and planes to the Arabs and even soviet tank drivers were driving the tanks to the front and then giving it to the syrians...

America coming to the Israel's aid is one of the myths that arabs have created just to cover up their incompetence...

Israel won the 1948 war when it received no American support, Marshall, US Secretary of State was completely against the state of Israel being created as it will push the Arabs closer towards Soviet Union and USA was tied up in the Berlin Airlift. 30,000 Jews vs 150,000 Arabs + 600,000 Palestinians and Israel won.

Arabs are just incompetent fighters. They beleive just because they are muslim they will win over the infidels. They promote incompetent generals, have shoddy battle plans, underestimate the enemy and blame american support to Israel when its clearly their own fault they lost.

The originator of this thread says that Israel will loose support from the US, highly unlikely. Even if that happes, Israel has excellent relations with China, India, the EU, and even Russia. Israelis are covering all their bases, the Arabs are not. Israel has powerful friends, and will continue to.
As for technology, I don't see the Islamic world ever catching up. Not in its current state. I can't think of a single world class university in the Arab or Islamic world, only seminaries. The Arabs have had oil money for decades but still rely on foreign expertise for extraction and refining. Even with the oil money, there education class and rate is horrible.
I don't see Israel ever loosing its edge over the Arabs.
Frustration aside, Arabs really need to sit down and negotiate. Israel will survive, the Arabs are going to end up killing each other.

What you have said about Israel is what people used to say about Soviet Union that it will never disappear, it is the second superpower in the world, no one can touch it. Where is Soviet union today?

Not what people said about the Soviet Union, it is what the Soviets were saying about themselves. There is a difference. In the decades since oil was found in the Arab world, how much progress have they made? They still do everything the way they have always done, they buy expertise. The Israelis have adapted, something the Soviets did not do. Like the Chinese, in some sense, the Israelis adapt to a changing world. Israel of 1948 is not the Israel of 2006. The Arab world is still caught in Jew hating and jihad.

Israel is the vent for the arab/muslim world. When pressure builds in the arab/ muslim world due to various reasons including unemployment, corruption of government, standard of living, etc, Israel is used to release some of that pressure. Turn the focus away from the real internal problems of the Arab/Muslim world and focus on Israel. They make a wonderful vent as protesting their existence in the streets, on the internet, in books, and anywhere else allows the pressure cooker to maintain and not blow up.

That is exactly right. If Israel is wiped off the map tomorrow, the Arabs will still have all of their problems andwill turn on each other.

Not really. Most people thought that Soviet was a super power and could not be touched. It disintegrated without a murmur. Israel might have made progress and I am not here to compare them with Arabs, but it is still dependent on American aid for its survival. if America was to withdraw its total financial support for Israel it would crumble faster than many Arab regimes. The myth is built around American support. Without that support it is probably not a viable state.

Israel is is more than just a technologically driven country.

First, there is no comparison with the Soviet Union. Communist Central planning policies made a mess of every industry, from agriculture to manufacturing. Then, the Soviets chose to ship millions per year to buffer states to support their failing economic models. (including Cuba).

Israel on the other hand is an increasingly robust economy. The PA, Jordan, Egypt as well as Israel are all supported by an incredibly vibrant economy. They have technology, diamond trading, manufacturing, excellent agriculture in the middle of a desert, biotechnology, and are so active that even Warren Buffet is buying Israeli companies.

Like it or not, Israel is not just surviving on technology, it is screaming ahead of every arab state. Other than Dubai, and Saudi, every single Arab/Middle Eastern state is growing at a much slower rate. (well, maybe Turkey if Turkey gets into the EU). Thinking that perhaps Isreal will collapse is basically an admission that Arab states no longer have the will to militarily or economically confront Israel.

At best American support for Israel pays for defense from the countries that have attacked it three times. To think that Isreal would collapse without US support is one more Muslim Myth that makes you guys feel better that Israel opened a huge can of Whupass on the combined Arab armies that outnumbered Israel by four to one. Sorry boys.

Pretty amazing what five million Jews can do with a desert with no oil eh?

Israel killed 10,000 Hezbollah gunmen in turn it lost only 600…

including 73 troops in a helicopter crash in 1997…

If Hamas had any brains, they would only target Israeli soldiers which would change public opinion in Israel to withdraw from west bank to the green line.

but when these palestinian terrorists continue to target israeli civilians it becomes a life and death struggle and no one can compromise on that…

Maulanas have brought poverty to the rich Middle Eastern countries, and made the poor live in $hite.

Case in point: Iran was a prosperous country even under a dictator. Now it has been relegated to the $hite hole of third world, thanks to the rule of Maulanas.

May be this Hizb has returned Lebanon back to the status of tourist destination and turned Berut "Paris of the East", NOT!

This Hizb is nothing but another version of Pakistani Maulanas. The same Maulanas who have brought so much death and destruction to Pakistani-Shias, Pakistani-Ahmadis, and Pakistani-Christians. All these Maulanas are alike and they all should be sent to the caves to join their supremo Arab called Osama.
