How long to get a deisgner formal from Lahore?

Hi girls,

It’s my brother’s wedding coming up late summer inshallah and I’m looking to get a couple of deisgner jore to wear at the wedding and walima for me and my sister. I’m thinking Asifa and Nabeel and/or Maria B. I’m hoping to go to Lahore for 2 weeks at the end of May.

How long do these deisgners take to make the outfit? Wthin those two weeks, I will have to choose outfit, place order, get acessories etc. Can I trust them to post the oufits to the UK or will I need to go back and collect. I’m worried about alterations needed.

I can’t really take time to go any earlier except for only a week in early Feb but is that worth it? That said, I’m seriously hoping I lose some weight for the wedding so that will affect the sizing as well. Pls advise girls.

Well are you picky about your clothes? If not too much, then you can rely on so many ready made designer wear you can get from PSFD and other designer shops. And most of the designers carry only 2 sizes; small and medium, so unless you are more on the heavier side i don’t think you should have an issue with the sizes :k:.

You can also have someone, a family member here, keep a tailor in mind for you who can get you your clothes stitched in few days in case you don’t like any designer wear and go for fancy unstitched clothes.

Thanks ZareenKhan. Yep, I'm fussy and i find that the readymade stuff in PFDC etc are often unsuitable (sleeveless, length etc). I'm hoping to go for custom made. If I order at the beg. of june, do you think it can be ready within a month sent over by DHL?

Any suggestions on good designers in Lahore?

^ But they wl get the sleeves done for you, atleast last time i was there they did offer the same to me but maybe not all designers there do :bummer:.

Within a month? I can’t say for sure because i have never ordered online and i don’t know if the designers here have good online services. I can suggest you good designers in lahore but i can’t guarantee you about their delievery time :nono:.

Thanks, that will be really helpful if you could suggest good designers in Lahore. I've decided to go myself at the end of May for 2 weeks and place order and pray that whoever i get the outfits made from can DHL them to my in London within the month. I'll just ahve to ensure i'm quick at choosing what i want.
