longest i ever waited before now was 6 months.
but then i got a very good job, but then i left it for better job.
if u would like, please share. and share how u deal with uncertainty of finding that better job or not?

If you know your 'stuff' then there should be no uncertainty. The thing to keep in mind is to go for your passion or the job that you think you will enjoy the most; the money will follow (afterall it takes atleast 1/3 of your day; 1/2 if you don't count sleeping hours)

I guess the best thing is to keep your resume up to date and let recruiters n such contact you rather than you seeking for opportunities. I donno abt others, but for me, the biggest opportunities came from recruiters... not to say i like recruiters and their processes, but it is the current trend.

Its true that sometimes you will regret your decision of not taking an offer, but at the end just keep faith in Allah and apply n interview with everyone with the utmost positive attitude... be it your 1st or 26th interview.

Ya :D....but I went for any kind of interviews I get could get my hand on... some not directly realted to IT.

I got a new-grad job after around 3 months finishing the school. It was in my field, but under-paid, since i didn't have much experience. I did that job for about 10 months before i got the better paid job. And Alhamdulillah i enjoy my current job and am pretty much settled down with it.

i got an 3 interview calls within 3 weeks.
one i did not like.
i had two interviews,
one was so-so, and the other went very well.

I am a student and all my jobs have been student job (so I don't know if it really counts) but I haven't been jobless for more then 1 1/2 month to 2 (Allah ka sukar hai) and eyery job has been better then the first one.
