Salam all of you,

I’m sure many of you have moved to a new city, new country, how long does it take for you to build a social circle? Please share your experiences

How did you go about meeting new ppl, especially if you don’t have any desi co-workers or you didn’t have kids who were school going (so didn’t meet parents of your kids’ friends).

We moved to a new city, new country and are facing quite a tough time meeting new ppl. Desi community is limited here and most ppl we have come across are not very welcoming towards new families who have just moved here. If any of you have any tips pls do share them.

invite to a dawat? only a cold hearted person will say no to food.

Volunteer at your local mosque or Islamic center, you will make a lot of friends and earn good deeds.

My friend got married and moved to a different state where her hubby was in school. She got involved in the MSA and masjid and now she has friends.
