Does anyone know how long can Dates (khajoor) stay fresh at room temperature?
My mom seems to think that they never go bad and can always be eaten but I am a bit doubtful about that
These are the dates someone brought me during their Umrah…
Thanks,
khajoor is a fruit that would survive in normal room temperature between 30 - 70 degrees F.still it will need to be covered partially with a net jar, in open air.
it has fructose and its flavor loses when the temperature is not ideal or is extremely hot.
even though it grows in terrains where hot weather is present, but in hot temperature khajoor will become pruned.
as long as insects and bugs are kept away and the air is not humid, it can survive in room temperature indicated above, but for a couple of months, the best way to preserve khajoor is to keep in colder temperature (fridge) and covered in a lid container.
of course, very long durations and moist or extreme temperature will make it go bad or at least affect its fresh taste.

carpdiem, what u can do is put it in the refridgerator but dont freeze them cause then when u want to eat them ur going to have to wait for them to get soft so my best idea is for u to put them in the fridge.............put them on the bottom of the fridge but on the side panel on the door ...................do u get what im saying .........................anyways oh and another thing cover them in plastic surram wrap............thats all........:)
