Jus wanted to know, if u have plenty of time how long before the Wedding you should get ur jehaz clothes(kaam walay suits) stiched???

1-2 months b4....cuz apparently most girls r on a diet n wud end up loosing some weight :P n also, the trends change n all.

I think you shud give u're suits to the kaam-wala's 4-5 months before and let them do the work..and leave the dress unstitched. Then a month before have them stictched. The kaam-wala's come up with ultra-creative bahana's why they don't have u're clothes ready =) and with all the load-shedding in pakistan and strikes and hungama's, it's best to have everything earlier than to run late =(

I would say dont get all of your clothes stitched cause trend and style change so quickly nowadays . get kaam done on them and get them stiched on time .

in my opinnion dont get all ur clothes stitched.. leave some of them for after marriage.. coz the weight u lose before marraige will pop up within a month or two :p lolz..

For a cousins wedding we had ALL her outfits done and "kharra" 5 months before her wedding..and then a month prior to her wedding we got a darzi that was booked for the entire month...he was sooo handy for the last min thal covers..cushions etc!

ok so i went to paki and 2 days later Benzir died, and then i had baiscally 2 weeks max to do EVERYHTHING. the lehnga was ready is 3 weeks, i spent 1 week buying cloths and spent 2 full days designing my cloths and giving them to durzis and they came out beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!! mashllah!!!! its totally doable! as long as u got the $$ but i dont think i spent more than 1500 on my jahez!! i have like 20-25 dresses not includin sarees, and these include my dholki n mehndi wagera outfits too! i couldnt really afford more time, but some shulwars got left unsewed but mommy can do that!! depends on how much work u want done, that stuff is what takes long..

A lot of people start as soon as their daughters are born..i.e the stuff which you think can be used even after decades one should store that like gold, unstitched fabrics etc...like my mother always keeps on telling me that the designs (clothes) which are in these days she used to have them when she was a teenager..or some gold designs while everything else should be bought in my opinion 3-4 months, other wise it looks like you have spent a lot while when you look at the stuff its not as much but if you start a bit sooner then you have the time to get more, think and spend wisely.

It's best to get u're "kaam" done earlier and give kaam-wala's enuff time to finish u're outfits and smuggle-in tons of bahana's too! And save urself from last minute headaches!
