I know you are in a tough situation with your husband's attitude. Truth is, noone can really predict with people, everyone reacts differently. And takes a different amount of time. I think your best bet is to be supportive and loving to him, and where you can, without annoying him, make your presence and support FELT. If he retreats to another room in solitude, then sometimes go and sit with him. You are the best judge as to when to tentatively begin trying this. Then he will slowly get used to having you around in his harder times. Only when you DO do this, do not force more than your SILENT presence on him. Don't meddle him with questions or anything. Tried and tested btw.

This is bachelor behavior. I'm sure you have remnants of it too. Everyone deserves a break from people every now and then and time in their caves, men and women alike. But in a marriage, these patterns need to be actively broken and both in a couple are to get used to relying on one another. This takes active effort, and sometimes total compromise from only one side who is bringing this change about. That is what I meant by the previous post. Begin wandering into his cave and slowly establish that he has a partner to share his hurt with. It's a slow and long process, but the time it takes is nothing when viewed through the spectrum of a lifetime together inshallah. Good luck!
