how long after azan can you pray till

i just wanted to know how long after the azan can you pray till, i belive for fajr its till sunrise, what about the rest can they be prayed untill the next azan.

Re: how long after azan can you pray till

What I read is this:
A fard namaz can be prayed til the time for the next namaz starts.
Don't make it a habit and try to pray it soon as the time of that namaz starts.

and for Asr it is 10 minutes or more before sunset!

while travelling you can combine Zuhr and Asr and also Maghrib and Isha...

Re: how long after azan can you pray till

Azan has nothing to do wit the time of the prayer as Azan can be called even after the time entered and sometimes by mistake, even before.

Fajar can be prayed till 7-8 minutes before the sunrise.

Every other prayer is valid if you can say your first Takbeer and start Qiyaam just before the time of the next prayer enters. So if Maghrib is at 7:00 PM and you start your Asr at 5:59:30 (and carried it inside the Maghrib Prayer), its is considered a valid prayer.

OK, i heard u shouldn't pray asr in the half and hour before maghrib. Like pray it b4 then.

There is no such binding for mandatory/fard/farz namaz.

Re: how long after azan can you pray till

fajr prayer can be prayed until sunrise
zuhr can be prayed until the time of asr (in pakistan, however, the asr azan is delayed so u cant offer zuhr till the azan of asr in this case)
asr can be offered till sunset (or as people say better to pray 15 minutes earlier)
maghreb can be offered till ishaa time (but again as a general rule muslims delay the ishaa prayer a bit so u cannot take the ishaa azan as an indicator - the actual time for maghreb prayer is just 15-20 minutes after sunset)
ishaa - there r mixed opinions - some say that u can offer it till midnight, others say u can offer it till the fajr
