PIA is taking relief goods for free to Pakistan, there are alot of messaging going around to prepare boxes of foodstuffs, blankets, medicine, personal hygiene items etc. Does anybody know how all these goods are bring distributed once they reach Pakistan, any particular charity organizations overseeing the distribution? When the 2005 earthquakes happened we heard that alot of the physical goods that were sent did not reach the needy recipients but were jacked by corrupt people who sold them or kept them. I heard PIA is handing everything over to the army and they will distribute it to the needy people directly, is this true?
I am unsure if we should just continue sending money through trusted organizations that are working on the ground there, or start collecting and sending these supplies through PIA as well. What are you thoughts
