Actually, I wasn’t thinking so much about professional stand-up comedians, but rather about everyday average people. I didn’t even notice the way Pakistanis make fun of others (for being bald or short or fat or dark or whatever) while I was there. It was when I came back to the US and someone pointed out that my humour had become that way, that I realized I had picked this up in Pakistan. That was a long time ago, but the lesson stuck with me.

Even within Pakistan, you will find a huge difference in humor style of people from Karachi vs Lahore. Lahore style is more like snappy come back that we call Jugat-Bazi. Karachi one is more indirect and very subtle.
