How innovative

The Indian government is now marketing its villages as exotic holiday destinations where tourists can draw water from a well and churn butter in earthen pots.

Given their economic mind, they will make a lot out of it. Why cant we do this?

Re: How innovative

i would love to go there and do that

Re: How innovative

why can't we do it? cuz no one wants to be found dead in the same well they wanted to draw water out from just for fun.. that's why..

Pakistan's image is of angry mullahs burning the US flag and overall condemning the 'western ways'.. which westerner in their right mind would want to 'enjoy' that?

Re: How innovative

If you have ideas and the will to do it, please come. The responsibility to lift this nation from their slumber falls on your shoulders.

Re: How innovative

Errmmm....... I meant Id love to go to India and do that.

you see for tourism, they'd clean up the village, the floor will be clean... the drinking water is likeley to be clean and the bucket in the well will be sterilised....

if they did the same in Paks ...I guess I'd go.

I went to a potter's house and made pots in Paks .. it was fun, Id pay to do that again

Re: How innovative

Sure we can have tourists come over and do some khayti bhardi in remote pinds and ofcourse clean our naalis.

Re: How innovative

was almost a year back when a sri lankan professor in our university had a presentation on how in sri lanka they had a village as a tourist resort where tourists wud live as paesants and work in fields, get water from wells and stay in straw huts with no 'modern facilities' (i.e. no electricity, water in the taps, toilets, etc etc)....
and it was damn expensive as he told us....

Re: How innovative

Smart idea :k:

Learn from Americans, who’d sell a prison as a touristy spot (Alcatraz). With the right marketing skills, anything can be sold.
