Yes, thats true for most modern Hindi songs because lyrics have lost their relevance and music/beats are more important to sell the song. However, if you look at songs from 1980s and prior, they had a lot of lyrical value.

i think urdu is needed pretty much.....i personally really like bollywood actors when they speak in urdu/hindi rather than english...
