How important is it in reality? I usually do my cardio and then strength training and used to come home and do stretching but recently not even that. I dont like to go to the stretching in the gym (not a seperate place place apart from the weights room in the gym and there is always someone there and I dont feel comfortable doing it there)
I feel fine, but are there any repercussions of not doing it?

the intent, I guess is to slowly open up your muscles so you dont cramp yourself up during workout or get soar muscles after work out.
if you are not experiencing that then it should be Ok, right?

I hope its right as I feel fine though..not a lot of pain post workout

It is in theory but the practicality with me is that now I have started forgetting to do it.I don't like to do it in the gym because of the reason I mentioned.

stretching reduces soreness and chance of injury it also helps you perform better, u stay loose and won't get cramps while ur working out
BTW ASK, by this time we all know that you are an extremely health conscious person who is in workouts, exercise, healthy eating and other physical activities

no in my opinion stretching way before you are actually going to do the excercize does not work because then by the time you are actually going to do the excercize the muscles will be relaxed again and not in the work out mode and you will definitely not get the same results.

stretching alone without an other exercise can increase muscle strength. It is also good for mobility n all so do it.
