Well frankly I have hardly seen girls rejecting good proposal having all the desirable qualities due to his dark skin. I have seen countless couples where husband has very dark color and wife is very white. Husband’s Dark color is not at all a let down in Pakistani families at least.

But you rarely see very Dark Pakistani wife with very white husband. It’s the male gender who need to change their thinking.

I agree completely guys are much worse in this and they do more discriminating. It is usually the white guys who appreciate the desi girls beautiful brown colour more than us unfortunately. I know a few desi white couples. Personally I’d love to find a dark skinned Pakistani girl.

Somewhere I read it’s because fair skin shows innocence and purity so people prefer it on girls but dark skin is more mysterious and appeals to darker side so it’s ok on guys but who knows real reason.
