I had the biggest crush on Naveen Andrews (sayed from Lost) for the longest time because of his dark skin and well, intelligence. My husband is quite dark too but it didn’t bother me much. All his other amazing qualities just overshadowed something so superficial. Plus, I think if the guy knows how to maintain/ clean himself and carry himself well, the skin color doesn’t really matter.

Good to know. that’s the colour I’m talking about and old to hear you didn’t let anything overshadow his good qualities. When my parents remind me of my dark skin and say I should marry fair girl or my kids will be dark I’m lost for words. I think it’s all about confidence and how they perceive the colour. If they take it in their stride it can be positive if it’s seen as a complex it can be negative
