How important is a good engagement ring?

A question for both genders. Guys, do you feel the need to go all out and spend thousands on an
engagement ring to please the girl? Ladies, does the ring or amount spend actually increase how
much love you feel for your man? do you care about size of the ring?
I don’t think size is an issue, as long as it fits your finger, right? But my gf doesn’t think so. The other
day, I boughtthis ringfor her.
Who knows, she said it not big enough. And she even implied the size is sort of matters.. If I don’t
get a good ring- then what does that say for the rest of the relationship or marriage… It predicts
bad things! I’m so confused now. So, what’s your opinion?

for me i like simple diamond ring.

wow the ring you got her was so nice! but how ungrateful she is! wow how materialistic!!

if she says it isn't big enough then ask for the ring back and get it replaced by those super chunky gem rings currently selling in the pound shop.

That is really weird. I think she may be a money-digger. It’s the wedding ring that should really matter, not the engagement ring. Or am I missing something here?:confused:

Btw, I really like that ring, but if she is upset, then, like Iyla suggested - get her one from Poundland instead.:smiley:

honestly engagement/wedding rings both shouldn't matter.

what's the point of flaunting a huge solitaire ring when the relationship itself might be totally off the track or say arguments start brewing since day one

If she loved you for you the size or price of the ring wouldn't matter..
