We all put on a strong image for ourselves, for the world to see. How protective are you of ensuring that image remains intact and does or doesnt become controversial in any way and form? how much of controversy can you handle?
Re: How image conscious are you?
I am a bit concious, but just a bit. It looks like too much of hard work for me to put continous effort to ‘maintain’ an image.
Re: How image conscious are you?
I’m very conscious and the effort which I put in drains me.
Re: How image conscious are you?
is it a personal image or a professional image that you protect? and are you conscious of protecting your image from friends and close friends as well? do you occasionally let your guard down?
Re: How image conscious are you?
cannot maintain an image.
Re: How image conscious are you?
Conscious of it but I’m not one of those ppl who does regular maintenance of their looks in a very meticulous way.. Yes, I’m pro-surgery but at the same time I’m quite relaxed about many other aspects of my image and appearance.. I’ve never had my eyebrows threaded, I don’t get my nails done regularly and I’m not bothered about ending up a few shades darker in the Summer.. I’m not interested in procedures that need to be repeated weekly or monthly because I just can’t be bothered and if I’m not working I’ll be lounging around in tracksuit bottoms with my hair up.. As I’ve mentioned before though, if something bothers me I will fix it..
Re: How image conscious are you?
Not cnscious at all. I could care less what others thought of me.
Re: How image conscious are you?
wait is this about how we look?
then, i do believe that we should all look presentable
just like our presentations and posters look nice along with having good content ![]()
Re: How image conscious are you?
^Hmm I interpreted it that way but if it’s more about character and what others think I might be like that doesn’t bother me too much.. People will always talk..
Re: How image conscious are you?
I’m not image conscious at all… I leave all that sort of thing up to my personal assistant, my fashion adviser, my life coach, my personal trainer, my hair dresser and my stylist ![]()
Re: How image conscious are you?
rather be original than to project a fake image
I am naturally so good looking that I don’t have to do anything extra
Re: How image conscious are you?
What image?
Re: How image conscious are you?

Re: How image conscious are you?

Re: How image conscious are you?
But the problem is that people would not love to see you “naturally”.

Re: How image conscious are you?
I don’t try to put any strong image for myself. I am what I am. Sometimes certain traits have to be camouflaged for certain group of people and that’s perfectly fine as well. Not really protective about it though.
Re: How image conscious are you?
professional image, i try to maintain and i am conscious about it. i don’t want to be talked about as an unprofessional resource in my industry.
image in terms of appearance. i take care that i should look presentable, nicely smelled etc but i never overdo it like i have no problems with not getting meni pedi & facials for months, going to party with unthreaded eyebrows, carrying mismatched handbag etc.
image in terms of personality: i am not very conscious about it, i am the way i am however, at times i keep my opinions to myself in front of some people so that i don’t get labelled as “Badtameez or munphat” and that is the area where i do become conscious of my image.
Authenticity and being true to yourself is the key, image will take care of itself.
Re: How image conscious are you?
X2, I have thought about it really hard over and over again and feel that being true to our self, being one person inside out , does it really help us gel well socially? I think not.
Being true to our self leads to saying and doing things that some around us may not appreciate due to clash of opinions. When that happens one may not even get a second opportunity to rectify even if we were on the wrong. People are quick to judge and even quicker to write you off.
Keeping that in mind, isnt it a necessity then to protect our personality image so much so that others dont get a chance to judge you as harshly?
