I do not watch Bollywood or Mumbiwood moves they are not worth it.

Yea, they don't influence me much either b'cuz i dont watch them alot, however, just like you guys said before, the whole Anti-Pakistan/Islam, it's really true but only if the people in Pakistan realize that. I know alot of people in the U.S are obsessed but in Pakistan..alot of people live for Indian movies(the irony...)!

Very.... Impressed would be better suited, instead of influenced.

I do not agree with the notion that indian movie are not worthy enough. India offers a lot of variety in movies, and cater wide range of subjects

If someone has watched any of them, then can you crtically analyse them and tell me how this stuff is technically/production wise not sound ?

Those who say that all of it is crap are not judging them critically, or they hate india. out of 100 there are 5,6 very good movies produced every year, almost double is the % for hollywood. But the fact remains that most of the stuff there too is crap

I do not agree with Naseer uddin Shah, Indian film industory has taken lot of time to mature, but it is at take off stage.

Really...I think the Pakistani music (my limited exposure) is far far superior to Indian modern music.

I agree with you and it's true that there is this superficial layer of commercial movies that are mostly just fluff and nothing more than amateur attempts at filmmaking but then when you look into that second layer of movies like Dor, Corporate, Iqbal, Yahaan, Parzania, Black Friday etc then you get into the more exceptional movies. Although the second layer of movies aren't very well advertised which is sad. They address a lot of the social issues in Indian society.

i dont think i am influenced by them even 1%....i use 2 watch many b4 now alot less but neva got influenced even than...they r just form of entertainment for me mostly mindless entertainment-LOL.

I stopped watching bolly wood movies and when i feel urge maybe after a mnth or so but i am not in contact anymore.

bollywood movies dont really influence me dat much, i luv watchin em, i go cinema 2 see 1 evry 3-4 weeks or summat, but i guess the only thing i get out of it is that i can speak urdu/hindi better lol!! nd sumtymz there dances r good..

So Ladies, what else can you fake??

whoever it caters for distastefulness, it's their own prerogative.

the thing with indian movies especially, is that they have bad implicit or explicit thematic tease, vulgarity and women's exhibition as sex object and this is why it is bad because yes, it is catering to the shameless men and women in a Muslim country next door and despite the fact that human sexuality is a universal thing of course, but Islam as a religion and the modest living, for Muslims.

so, even if one wanted to, it is running in your homes, as a screen, leaving impressions on your mind as well as those of your children.

so, no wonder, children learn all this and when they grow up, they act like that.

you are right, in pointing out the silliness of indian films.

exactly so. the values indian and even Pakistani films and 'entertainment programming' portrays is nothing but bad now a days.

the obscenity and the utter unrealistic- ness appeals to people, may they know why,

and then the biggest stark damage is that when their kids follow the silly, distastful and wicked behaviors - they are implicated where as all of it has long been seen and watched with excitement in their households.
whatever happens to peoples' shame and embarrassments doing one thing and then wanting another.
