How haram is beer

I have a serious question. I know drinking beer is haram but it contains a small amount of alcohol and u won’t get drunk or anything with one can and the whole purpose of not drinking alcohol is to avoid getting drunk which drinking beer does not do. It’s also important like if u want to meet up with coworkers after work which is usually at a bar. So how haram is beer like on a scale of 1 to 10?

Re: How haram is beer

Anything that is intoxicating in large amounts is prohibited even in small amounts. There is no 1-10 scale in the haram category. Also, drinking with coworkers is a choice not a necessity.

Re: How haram is beer

You can always drink non-alcoholic drink with co-workers and they should respect your choice :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: How haram is beer

no, that isnt the only point in avoiding alcohol.. alcohol have so many disadvantages and it’s harmful.. no matter how much you’re consuming it.. though it have some advantages too.. but disadvantages can be fatal.. that’s why it’s banned in Islam..

1 to 10?? there is no scale.. coz when it says haram.. it’s 11 outta 10.. means no one’s allowed to drink/consume it..

and to your other point.. what is more important?? the order of your Creator or co-workers?? dont let shaitaan play with your nafs.. control it..

Re: How haram is beer

On a scale of 0-1, 0 being not haram and 1 being haram, it’s a 1.

And no, it’s not important even if you meet with coworkers at a place where they may be drinking.

Re: How haram is beer

It has never been an issue for anyone when I was the only one on the table ordering something non-alcoholic while everyone else orders beer or wine. Your co-workers won’t have a problem with you not drinking beer. Then why would YOU want to consume something Haram, even if it’s just in small amounts.

Re: How haram is beer

1)When it comes to deen of islam halaal and haraam is about law not about some make belief and useless practice.

2)The quran gives directives or limitations about laws which we are supposed to be understood and debated in light of the quran and real world realities. When truly knowledgeable ummat people agrees upon some law, it is truly an islamic law or part of shariah.

Now the detail arguments.

1)Law is all about people having or doing or using things.

2)With respect to law having, doing or using things is mubaa ie neutral ie they are neither lawful nor unlawful to have or do or to use.

3)On basis of reason having, doing or using things is declared lawful or unlawful.

4)Things which cause harm to have or to do or to use are declared unlawful on the basis of the quran in deen of islam.

5)Thing are only declared unlawful in the way they are harmful to have or to do or to use and not mutlaqan or in all respects.

For example, if a person asks is a car halaal or haraam? The answer cannot be given because this question requires further clarification and that clarification needs reasons on basis of which a car may be declared halaal or haraam or lawful or unlawful to have or to use.

Unless a person has this much clear understanding of how laws are made by God only then one could understand what the quran is saying and why with regard to its directives about laws about things.

Reading the quran could be unlawful if it is done the wrong way. Likewise eating could be haraam if it is not done the way one is supposed to do it. So anything which causes harm is unlawful but only in the way it causes harm and not in all respects.

If one learns and understands the explained formula one can see for oneself what one is having or doing or using is harmful or not and on that basis one can declare it lawful or unlawful. In short nothing can be totally lawful or for that matter totally unlawful rather there have to be reasons as to why or how something is lawful or unlawful. Re: How haram is beer

‘Shareef’ bacha you should know better! I’m just kidding, but the answer on your question:
haramness ki koyi scale nahin hoti. Haram is haram, whether we talk about beer or haram meat etc. Islam is such a beautiful religion, jo cheez hamare liye sahi nahin, wohi haram hai. Why would you want to intoxicate your body with alcohol? Your could easily drink something else when you meet up with your co-workers & if you don’t feel comfortable at the bar, just keep the conversations and friendship while you’re at work and just go home right after

Re: How haram is beer

As far as I know Allaah has commanded you stay away from alcohol, and not you merely dont get drunk.

Obey Him

Do something that clearly shows your loyalty to Him.

The truth is more like If you deny drinking being haraam not only is that kufr but you’ll drag those who show mercy towards you on this into kufr as well. Also Stay away from tables on which alcohol is being drunk
