Guys, let the past greats be past, why do we drag in who was better in past or not.... why not just evaluate if Gul is good or not :)

Gul and Asif are the future. We need to find a third genuine quick bowler, because haters like ehsan bhai won't let Shoaib stay in the team for long :o .
Either way, he must go. Whether on his own accord or being kicked out. He has wasted his talent and let down his team and country time and time again. This last scandal was the last straw.
And what do you mean find third quick? We have Sami. Just hone his skills and help him to fullfil his potential.

^ sami isnt really even a proper "fast" fast bowler anymore. the bar for that has been raised to 150kph by people like tait, lee, bond, shoiab... samis around 140kph. even indian bowlers can touch 140kph these days.

He is not as good or you can say a match winner inna Asif's or for that matter Shoaib's way. He has improved great deal over span of couple of years but still he lack that ability to win match for Pakistan,alone.

hahahaha…well I think yeh Sami kay liyay last chance hai, but atleast he is bowling better than Rana at the moment & we don’t have any other options as well

Itnay last chance mujhe milay hotay to main bhi ek aadh test match khel hi jaata from Pakistan :o . Rana is very good at death overs compared to pie-thrower Sami who likes to throw down full-pitched, juicy pies at the end. Rana should not open the bowling, however, on current form. Let him settle down and then we will see.

Gul is a very good support bowler, nothing more nothing less. I know in the absence of Actor and Asif, some of us are desperate to think of him as a strike bowler. Let's not big him up too much.

i know this is off topic...but there are no majorly quick bowlers coming through...after shoaib, there is no1...its all mcgraths fault...the kids all think its better to be a medium paced "line and length" bowler then it is to be an out n out quickie... we dont have any one capable of hitting 150-160 kmph after shoaib (sami doesnt count, cuz he sucks)
