I’m afraid… I’m alhamdulillah mashAllah 24 weeks along and a friend of mine told me that I should be feeling my baby move every hour if not then there is something wrong… I don’t feel the baby’s movements every hour sometimes it stops for 4-6 hours and then I will have a bubble like feeling in my tummy…
Also when should I expect to experience the kicking… I have occasionally felt bumps against my stomach but they feel more like my stomach burping than anything else…
I was feeling kicks by 18 weeks. I have a friend who could **never **feel her baby unless she was lying down very quietly. Babies were/are healthy, mashAllah.
It is different with each mother and baby. When there is a distinct change in the pattern there is more concern. But tell your concern to your doctor. S/he can check to make sure all is well.
I remember in the third trimester I commented to the u/s tech that baby was unusually still during scans. She said, "no I can see her moving. Sometimes we just don't feel it."
yeah ure being paranoid i was also literally freakin out .. i got faint feeling in 19 weeks only before that nothin ... doc said i shud feel sum movement by 22. anyway now m in week 30 and Ah she moves but she dusnt move all the time.. its impossible practically. they are sleepin most of the time anyway. another thing i learnt is, although she kicks and moves during the time when i m sittin and all .. she is mostly active while i lay back on bed... try doin that. ur friend is wrong that u shud feel every hr.. thaz ridiculous! i asked my doc she said in one or two hrs in a day u shud feel 10 movements atleast (total 10 thruout the day) which is v possible.. 10 is not a big number. take a chill pill.. IA ur baby is fine and movin and all. u shud b able to see ur tummy move, vibrate whenever ur baby decides to do kung fu ;)
mall is absolutly right as time passes u ll definitly feel more n more moments of ur baby n when IA U ll be in ur 3rd trimester u ll feel like ur baby is playing foot ball inside there :-) but as they say every mother is different so dont worry n just show the concern when u visit ur doc. Every thing ll be fine :-) dont worry. Tc
It's probably early to feel the kick, especially if its your first baby. and as for feeling movement every hour, they say so but I never felt movement like that. There were actually active and still periods for my babies... like my last one used to stay mostly still during the day but would literally start dancing in the evening and would play all night!
If you ever feel your baby is being unusually still, drink a glass of orange juice and lie down on your side. S/he'll move for you!
