Have you always forgiven people that have wronged you, whether they are friends or close family? Are there certain things you just can NOT forgive ever? Do you think it is wrong if a person who was severely wronged by another chooses not to forgive and forget (please don’t bring Islam into this, I know it’s wrong according to the religion) I’m just asking on a personal level how YOU feel about it?

Im very stubborn. if someone especially someone close to me crosses the line can take me months to speak to them, depending on how serious the situation was. if someone cheats on me or lies to me, then i wont speak to them ever. or forigve. ever.

sorry u said bring no Islam but i wanna clarify that Islam does give u a right not to forgive or take revenge.
it just say forgiving is afzal.
as for me to very close ppl in my life i am quite forgiving. i forgive them in this world so Allah does not punish them thereafter. this involves my parents, my siblings, my husband and my kids. other than these it depends on type of harm done. if someone continues doing evil n feel no remorse for it i don't forgive easily but if they ever ask for forgiveness i might reconsider.
i mostly forgive ppl 3 times n if they do it again i keep grudges.

I like to assess whether the wrong was done in malice or was it an honest mistake. It all depends.

There is only one person in this world who I can forgive and forget their action, the rest of the people close to me I can forgive, but not forget, and all the others I don't even let it bother me because they don't matter much in my life.

Im usually pretty forgiving...almost to a fault sometimes.

I used to forgive and forget everything.... now i base it on what the intentions were. If they were truely to upset me and wrong me, then I'll forgive them, but wont be hanging out with them..

I forgive pretty easily but never forget. i think thats how it should be. u dont wanna be wronged twice!
ofcourse there are certain things that i think its ok never to forgive people over such as murder, rape and child molestation. i hope people like that suffer now and after death.
