i haven't been practicing at all lately. i still hope i haven't. couldn't find the time or the field (New flipping Delhi) to enjoy a sprint. treadmills suck big time, even the fastest is pretty slow. haven't been to the gym in the last 6 months :(
Re: How fast can you run?
In Mumbai there are walking jogging parks. Pay Rs 10 each day probably Delhi has such places. High school ground may not be bad place yo run. During visits to India the best time for me is to run alongside traffic. Race with auto rickshaws. They have disadvantage due to traffic! Sometimes folks on bicycles. Try keeping pace for as long as you can. Make it a joyous experience. Make the road your track.
Re: How fast can you run?
i'm unaware about such jogging parks which charge fees, but there are a lot of free jogging parks here which are already booming with population. went running to a coupe of these parks, had to be extremely careful not to collide with other people(esp. senior citizens). running(sprinting actually) in the traffic is not feasible. also running on hard surface is not a good idea if you like to run daily. grass fields are the best, less shock to your joints/bones/muscles, grass provides extra resistance and hence trains you better. there are at least 7 high schools within a kilometer radius from my place, sadly none of their playgrounds are accessible. there's a Delhi Govt. Sports Complex and its not too far away(around 5kms) but the route to there is either the metro or the heavy traffic roads. shifting from this place within a month or so. i'm pretty optimistic about the new area.
EDIT: also hard surfaces pe bhagne ke liye mehnge shoes kharidne padenge...
