One of our close family friends–they have a daughter who is now 26 yrs old now.Some 6-7 yrs back,her rishta was asked by her cousin which was rejected after she wasn’t willing to marry the guy.After that,the family has been getting proposals for her from other families,but usually before the things could get confirmed,usually because of some things either from the girl’s family or those other guys’ families,things usually don’t go well,and so, still now she is single.Now,according to her family,the cousin’s family back home in Pakistan,strongly believe in taveez,peer,etc & according to them,that cousin’s family has done some sort of jaadu or black magic because of which her marriage isn’t being able to get confirmed with any other guy still now.How far can that be true?

Oh God....26 is not ancient. Also, while I do believe in black magic and the evil eye.........we are also supposed to believe that everything happens according to Allah's will. I'm not invalidating the existence of black magic........but I'd like to believe that Allah has ultimate power and can prevent someone's evil and unjust schemes from going through.

It need not be black magic. Other factors can also hinder rishtas and it's a good to do some reflection and consider those possibilities.

Jadoo is possible but its so overrated. Have her pray regularly and also her family and i am sure Allah wl take care of it.

This rishta process is indeed strange, sometimes there r weird blocks in the way that do make you think if someone is upto something. But at the end of the day, you have to rationally see if there could be other factors blocking the way or maybe its just not meant to happen at this time. Which however brings me back to the whole debate destined vs freewill. Argh. lols.

Anyways, goodluck to your friend/cousin. She is 26 yrs old and i know why her and the family would be concerned but its not like she is too old so ask her to approach the issue with a positive mind and god willing things will fall into place soon :).

You cant blame things you dont understand on jadoo all the time. I dislike people who do that because they refuse to take any responsibility for looking at their own behavior or faults.

Yes that is true. Your cousin has had a very far jadoo attack and is doomed to end up a spinster.

If it's black magic, she should do prayers because at the end of the day it's Allah swt who determines your destiny.

She should also focus on the reasons behind the other rishtas not working, maybe they just weren't the right people for her. She's 26 and still has a lot of time ahead of her.

Haha the things people make up. There's no jaadu tona or black magic, if there was, they'd have used it to get their son hitched, make bank and rule the universe. Instead, they're just claiming "credit" for your misfortune. They're scum, your friend is better of not marrying their boy.

It is true and someone I know is in similar situation in my immediate family which is truly sad.... She is gorgeous, 30+ now MashAllah but her istahkara gives out problem due to black magic done by some people who got rejected from her earlier.....

My mom also says this for me... I had many many rishtas where everything was going right, even the month of marriage decided, but then somehow it dissolves for small reasons... My khandan also wanted my rishta and its known they have some peer whom they visit for getting all their problems solved through wazeefas, chillas, and taweez. I do not know how true is this. But then when I think about all the proposals which were going so fine and suddenly ended nowhere (and there have been many of them), I kinda start believing my mom. But then I also believe in Allah and that I won't get more that what I am destined to get and before the time when I am destined to get. So there must be someone better for me and all those proposals were NOT just good for me.

So even if it was coz of someone's jadoo aur taweez, I should thank them that they saved me from not-so-gud proposals. When the right one comes, their jadoo and taweez won't work on me because the POWER OF ALLAH SWT is far more than these jadooos and taweez and Allah Swt is not my enemy and my khandan wala's friends when it is them who are doing wrong and evil and I have done good deeds in my life (caring for my parents) and I have the blessings and duain of my parents.

Ask ur friend to have faith in Allah Swt, pray ur namaz and recite 4 Quls regularly. Everything will be ok. Jaddo is acknowledged in Islam and for this, Surah Falaq and Surah Naas are there.

Thanks both of you Zareen and pinkyy :) ... I really need the duas as I am going through hell and my mom is sooo depressed these days... Lets pray every girl passes this rishta stage with ease Ameeen... I really want the marriage to be done at one place (its arranged) but again the matter is going nowhere... and the process is proceeding at some other place.... May be that is best for me... We should leave things in Allah Swt hands... He will choose the best for us :)

Don't worry yar. I know it can get to you at times but the best approach is to stay calm and positive and at the same time be vigilant in the whole process. Sometimes we dont see why some things happen and that can be very troublesome for the mind n health. Just keep contact with your innerself n Allah thru prayer/meditation and you wl be good.

umm, nothing like that :rolleyes: the girl’s family got too many nakhray and that’s why all the other potentials kept falling out, and now to save face, they’re blaming circumstance and destiny on kala jadoo :rolleyes:
