My friend is looking for a job in the US .. is it possible for him to get a customer service job there, I know there are bunch of companies so chances are high, But the problem is he is paki & hard to get a US work Visa .
what do you think ? would it be possible for him to get a US Visa. I know it’s off topic but still it is part of the Question.
He is currently working in kuwait as a customer service representitive in the US Camps in kuwait. If yes then how ??? His is not qualified that much.
i guess for low skilled jobs, he may have to apply to some of US ladies out there, if accepted he can be exported to US and let loose to explore the market, without that its not possible easily.
Hmmm.... lets put it this way. He is going to have a hell of a time. Even UK citizens cannot easily get US Working Visa. H-1B Visa's are good for IT workers, however you dont have to be specifically an IT worker to qualify for H-1B Visa. You need a degree in the subject that your job is related to and the US employer needs to PROVE THAT THERE ARE NO US QUALIFIED WORKERS TO TAKE THIS JOB. This is usually where the problem lies, as the US has plenty of citizens and perm. residents that can take the job. To be honest, the only way to the US is birth (being born there) having siblings or parents who can sponsor you, marry there or invest at least $1million in a new uS venture (business) that employs at least ten us citizens (job creation). You have to have a very niche qualification to the extent that there are no US workers, for the employer to sponsor you and why should US employers go through all the hassle of using a foreign worker, when there are ready people waiting on their doorstep that dont require Visa sponsorship?
You mentioned that he works for a US company in Kuwait. What I can suggest he does is stick to this company and work his way up and up - supervisor, management, exectuive director. Once he has reached the top within the company, he could apply for a job within the same company to a position located in the US. If he gets the jb, then the compnay will arrange his working visa. This would be the intra-transferee L-1 Visa, which after about five years converts to a Green Card. This would be his only route. I know a lot about US immigration, because I got my Green Card many years ago, because my father set up a business in the US that was worth a lot of money and eventually i became a US citizen - of course i was my fathers dependent, but I still kept my British passport (I was born in UK). Dont think its easy for countries like UK/Canada to get into the US. No. sometimes its the opposite. Even Canadians have a hard time getting a Green Card - US Immigration rules are the same, no matter what your nationality is. You always need a US company to sponsor you a working Visa - regardless of nationality. Visitng for pleasure, however is a different ball game altogether. Good luck.
