I’ve been told you can start to feel it from about 16 weeks, but first-time mum’s (like me) are less likely to realise what they’re feeling because they’ve never felt it before! And by 24 weeks you should DEFINITELY start to feel movements.
I’m mashAllah 19 weeks now, and a couple of times I’ve felt something weird in my tummy - like a twisting, or something ulat-ing in the lower right of my belly button. It was kind of sort of sharp, and happened about 4 times, then went away. I felt it today and yesterday too. But lol, I don’t know if it’s the baby or if it’s just wind, or indigestion, or some other annoying pregnancy symptom lol.
Can anyone describe what it feels like when your baby moves? Esp. in the early stages…
Yeah I thought as much, that’s why I’m not too stressed over what’s happening.
It’s kind of like the phase you go through just before finding out you’re pregnant - when it’s too early to take a pregnancy test but things seem a bit ‘different’… but I am happy to wait til 24 weeks to find out what it feels like
I went back in my blog to see when I felt it. I felt it at 16 weeks but I was super emotional and willing to believe it was it. I don’t know if i was right or not. Was just sad at the time and the gassy feeling or flutter felt like it could be baby and I felt better.
In the beginning it’s just very light fluttering. Later in your pregnancy they’re much stronger.
You’re probably feeling baby move, sometimes when they kick it’s a sharp pain(but not really painful kwim)! I jump every time
