I really like this kind of long dresses. I have 2-3 of them, bought them coz i couldnt resist the prints and designs. But the problem comes when I want to wear it and go out. How do you cover the neck part? I can use a jacket or bollero for shoulders and sleeves but the neck, how do i cover that? If i wear a shirt under it, 1. it kills the whole look of the dress 2. so many layers on upper body i.e. jacket, shirt and undershirt …makes u look fat there :-S
^ well thats what kills the look of dress, no? though i have seen gals wearing it and looking at them them i feel the dress still looks good but when i try it myself, i feel it looks bad. waisay bhi I dont always find matching under shirts :hinna:
well same problem here. even tshirts come with so deep necks. ok for the vnecks what i do is get matching or even any good contrast color lace and use that to cover v-neck. or 2nd option is that shawl thing and i think that will work best , it will cover arms(not full though) neck and look stylish too. but u may need to pin it carefully so it does not accidently drops.
I wear hijab, so I have the same issue w/these kinds of shirts & dresses, and I also hate the look of a dress on top of a long-sleeved undershirt. I usually wear it w/a tank top underneath to cover the chest, then put a light jacket over it. Kind of like this (sorry for the ghetto editing):
OR I put a short sweater over it, sort of like this, but more covered up. The sweater has to be short, though, so you don’t look frumpy:

I think i ll try all of them, bolero, jeans jackets, small sweaters and scarfs/shawls
