I think this is quite important especially online when you’re not sure really how to behave because you don’t have non verbal cues and it is hard to show your tone when your chatting. Sometimes a good intention does not come across well. I’m not thinking of people who obviously have bad intentions or are perverted minded but just normal, decent guys. Say if you compliment a girl because you’re being genuinely friendly or you think she shouldn’t be insecure about something but you don’t phrase it right or sounds exaggerated. Is that enough to be seen as creepy? Also creepy means different things for different people. What one girl might find creepy another might not.
If you apologise would a girl be able to forgive you or is it something that you can never change now?
What things can make a girl think of you as creepy (apart from obvious direct things)? What if someone has called you creepy although it was a misunderstanding? Can you never regain a good reputation again?
Re: How do you tell when a guy goes from friendly to creepy? What next?
I think it should go without saying that in the vast majority of cases its not the act / behavior that is creepy in itself. Its who does it that matters.
As a rough rule, if youre not good looking then most of the attention you give to unknown women would get you labelled a creep. This means you have to be very careful with women.
If a guy is good looking most of his actions will pass off as 'harmless flirtation'. You'll be amazed to know what he can get away with and how women rationalize his actions.
Here is a simple example of how women think.
A regular looking guy notices a girl sitting in a restaurant / cafe with her friend, a few times.
Girl says to her friend afterwards "Omg did you see that creep who was looking at me all the time ! ?"
The same scenario but the guy is good looking this time "Hey, did you see that guy sitting at the table in front of us? I think he was interested in me"
Re: How do you tell when a guy goes from friendly to creepy? What next?
Totally agree. Except what if it is online and you haven’t seen each other.
I think all guys should employ the brad pitt rule before thinking whether she is interested. Or maybe its the Fawad khan rule for us. The Brad Pitt Rule | AoM Instructional - YouTube They ay it’s not about looks but looks are important for first impressions. Agree with your examples.
