That you don’t want to talk to them anymore. I’ve known this girl all my life and we were never really good friends, we saw eachother at school, and weddings and such, but she reccently moved really close to my house. She’s always over, and calls really late or really early. Its starting to get annoying. I want to tell her to relax a bit, but i don’t want to hurt her feelings.

Do you really want to cut off all contact or just tone it down a bit? Can you make excuses as to your being busy ... or ask her to call before coming over cause you may have other plans.

Well our parents know each other too, so i don't want to offend them by completly cutting off all contact with their daughter, i just want her back off a bit

start calling her at odd times and figure out when shes busy or studying and barge in for a sleepover. start inviting annoying geeks over when shes around, and then go downstairs on the pretext of getting her some chai. talk about philosophy. offer her health food when she comes. sugar free oreos. fat free chips.

just strat ignoring her, dont take her calls, make excuses and eventually she will get a hint and back off.

Don't answer her calls if she calls at odd times, just tell her what time suits you I guess. As for her coming over all the time...just don't sit there to accompany her all the time, if you carry on with your routine and don't allow her to disrupt it she may get the message. If this doesn;t work then please report back :D
