As for the question CM, I doubt if a guy can tell. Normally they wait for the guy to 'make the move', and he is expected to somehow figure out on his own that the lady is into him - which a guy won't. When it comes to friends, guys don't differenciate much between the sexes, and chances of a guy hitting on a female friend would be slim.
