No offense to anybody, I am not a great fan of these “shuttlecock” burqas.

I think dressing style is in built in someones culture. as far as, shuttle burqa is concerned, ladies in those areas feel secure according to that dress-code.

For sake of discussion, if I say I don’t like long Balochi kurtas, its my personal opinion and there will be many who own that kind of traditional dress.

The more important question is how and why this style became traditional amongst Pashtuns. A google image search for “traditional pashtun women” throws up some interesting results.

That require a separate discussion. In short, its affected by other cultures too. Like a few decade ago, a woman with jeans was totally alien, but nw you can see ladies wearing Jeans in big cities of Pakistan
