i hate when i see Bollywood movies when they show qabr/mazaar parastii. they depict as if this kinda Islam is the mainstream Islam and everyone goes and believes in this kinda rituals. i think it's so because the masses including the Hindus and followers of other religions believe in qabr parastii. Sikhs weren't part of looter, Sikhs was not part of population of delhi then. when British were escaping from delhi after sepoys of meerut reached delhi and started massacre of Kafirs, surprisingly Kafir meant christians, not hindus or any other indian class of people:) Escaping British were mostly were looted by Gujars and Jats. Gujar even looted underwears of British but left pants as they used to wear Dhotis:D. When british started capturing with the help of Gurkhas and Sikhs, escaping delhites were again looted by these two tribes, though Gujjars being populated on three sides of Delhi and original resident of delhi looted the maximum:D rivaled by Jats whose attempts were mostly amateurish but later improved, even my Naani's father was famous dacoit of Gurdaspur but after partition all of Muslim members left for Sialkot:D, I hope they would have exercised their talent there too:D

But KKF that is popular version of Islam that people from other religions observe at many Dargahs of Indo-Pak. Even in Pakistani movies, they used to show characters visiting Dargah like Data darbar and Qalandar Shahbaz, when they are in trouble.

Bhai, If AR Rahman in Jodha Akbar shows Khwaja mere Khwaja, then nothing can be done about it by non muslims:)

I know my tribe, 99 percent of them come with brain and go back to god without using it much, these brains are used only for primary purpose, secondary purposes like thinking,analyzing,observing etc are beyond majority:D

I think Fiza was also directed by Khalid Mohammed who showed us 'Piya Haji Ali'. One can't deny that such practices do exist in Muslim society.

Which part are you talking about?
Bollywood shows hindu women in mangalsutra, which is common more in deccan and south, north indian women don't wear mangalsutra:)

I'm referring to KKF's point of showing dargah's and worship of graves shown in movies. In Fiza Jaya Bachan goes to Haji Ali, a saint near sea in Mumbai. Again I think, the composer and vocalist was A R Rehman. BTW A R Rehman is a converted Muslim.

I know Haji Ali Dargah too and I have seen people doing Sajda in front of grave but they ask mannat, they don't go for namaz there:)

i am NOT saying why do they do that...they do it for a commercial reason. they think it's a popular thing to show which is totally against Islamic beliefs. an outsider or a child or people with less deenii knowledge think that this is Islam...they do a disservice to Islam N Muslims...to, kia aap chaahte haiN k aisaa hii sab chalte rahnaa chaahiye?

I think Talibaan and worshipers of graves (in KKF words) are only two versions of Islam that has been portrayed in most of Bollywood movies.
