How do you organise your pantry and kitchen?

Okay so the title pretty much says it all.

How do my fellow guppians sort out their kitchen and pantries? I’m currently in a super organisation mode (possibly nesting instinct) and want my kitchen and pantry looking neat and tidy but it’s kind of a struggle because of the following reasons which I’ve realised:

  1. bulky appliances I actually use at least 3/4 times a week-e.g. slow cooker bread maker
  2. we don’t just rely on a desi diet we also cook various other styles such as Italian, Arabic, Tex Mex so have various food stuffs to accomodate
  3. my husband is a ‘snacker’ and loves his chocolated and sugary stuff so a cabinet is usually filled with his stuff
  4. cooking is my hobby so I have various pots/pans/bakeware/servingware to store

I’ve decided to tackle the problem as such:

  1. store bakeware vertically-I’m hoping this will create a tidier look and streamline things for me
  2. We’ve put up rails in the kitchen to hang pot lids & things like spoons etc
  3. I’m going to store smaller dishes such as ramekins in boxes and label them-I’m hoping that will make things look tidier too
  4. invest in baskets for snacks and other items such as sachets, dry fruit etc
  5. store large bulky items in the pantry
  6. put daals/grains in jars so they are easier to see
7)consider lazy-susans for pantry to store tins/sauce bottles on

What other tips/ways do you guys go about organising your pantry/kitchen?

A friend of mine was saying she has created ‘zones’ in her kitchen which sounds great but what if your kitchen is tiny?

Re: How do you organise your pantry and kitchen?

I have a tiny kitchen and have stock up many things. I usually keep all the pots and pans in order I am using them, The pressure cookers most accessible as its a daily use. All other cooking Pots the bigger ones behind and the smaller ones in access as bigger ones are only used for larger cooking.
As far as appliances, I use the stand mixer almost thrice a week and its so heavy so I dont put it in any cabinet, just on the bench top with Toaster, Electric kettle and the bench top water despnser, one of my kitchen’s corners is reserve for these 4. As i dont have any seperate area for microwave I have placed in on my dinning table.
Bakingware I either put with the pots or sometimes with the serving dishes area. Lazy suzan is good but what I dislike in it is it sometimes imbalances the things, Try finding out some special kind of baskets used for storing in Pantries, I have to take some still.
I am planning to buy this Kitchen islander/trolley and I think it will help me organizing more. I would post pictures also as I am re arranging my kitchen nowadays as I have got new stuff from Pakistan.
This is Islander/Trolley Im interested to buy
