not sure if I understood what you meant by physically but....I use online banking.
I enter them into the system every monday (I dedicate ONE day a week to take care of my bills to assure they are not late) and they get paid on (sometimes before) the due date.

Paper bills ko aik file ya folder main rakhu(Ju main nahi kerti nasihat ker sakti hon:D) phir aag laga diya kero do her teen maheeny baad you know agar kuch wapis kerna hu ya koi jhagra hu payment ka tu kam a sakty hain three months ky badd nahi I guess:fifa:

I pay by direct debit and standing orders on fixed dates. I dun even open my bills to check..
