Re: how do you make chicken manchurian

Co-incidently last week i made this dish for d first time!.. & this is how i made it... i havnt put quantity u can put it as per taste.
It does look a bit like salan but d difference is u don't put any lal mirch, haldi & tomotoes in.. instead the vinegar, soya sauce n ketchup is what makes d taste.

INGREDIENTS

Boneless chicken, cut into cubes
Soya sauce
Chinese salt
White pepper (I think black pepper works too)
White vinegar

For Sauce:

White pepper 1/4 tsp
Chinese salt (normal salt does d job too) 1 & 1/4 tsp
Chicken stock (yakhni) 1 &1/2 cup
Corn flour
Soya sauce
Tomato ketchup

Green capsicums

How to prepare it:

Wash the chicken pieces, drain water and marinate them with salt, pepper, vinegar and Soya sauce 2 eggs & corn flour 3 tbspoon and set aside for about half an hour.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken until it is tender. Remove and keep aside.
In the same pan add Soya sauce, chicken stock, tomato ketchup, salt and pepper. Cut green bell peppers in thin slices n throw them in
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Add the chicken pieces and let it simmer until it becomes a thicker sauce.

Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot with Chinese egg fried rice or noodles

Re: how do you make chicken manchurian

I found a packet of chicken manchurian masala at one of the desi store tried it . It turned out to be amazing. So went back and bought 10 packets of it. Plan to make it this weekend also.
It was not shan masala it was some indian barand , when I go home I will post the brand name.
