How do you know you like someone?

I realize this question may seem absolutely silly to some people, but in all honesty I would like to know. How do you know you like someone?

It cant just be that you like talking to them, because well, people like talking to lots of people, like friends, family, etc.

I ask in all seriousness, really. Thanks.

Yes, there is more to it than just enjoying a conversation. Different people have different ways of determining if they like someone. I suppose if you click with that person on many levels and you find that person attractive, that is a good sign. Much of it has to do with instinct as well.

See I read once, U tell the other person, " I feel a feel, a funny feel I feel and if u feel the feel I feel; remember I love you" I know its cheap but it just happens. THere are no set indicators. Everyone reacts in a different way I guess. But something good for you,

If u loose ur apetite, u can’t sleep and u don’t feel like paying attention to anything else then maybe these things give u a clue that u r in trouble. ( this is what I saw around me )
I don’t have any experience ppl might end up giving serious response to this.

Do you mean like someone as a friend or feeling attracted to someone of the opposite sex?

If it is the latter, I know I really like someone when they keep popping into my mind and I am thinking about them constantly … and then I anticipately wait to speak to them again.

LOVE cannot be defined. If its defined... Its not LOVE

I want to be a bit Clear...
U know.. Lots of PPl dont even Know that.. what is the Difference Between LOVE and LUST.....

If U like someone.. and U want to see Him/Her again it can be LOVE as well as LUST.
Now wats the difference...
The time is the TOOL to calculate....
If U dont see that person for sometime and His/her Image start to fade from Ur mind... Offcourse it was not LOVE it can be 'Lust' or 'Like'

If by the passage of time even if U dont see Her / Him again.. for long period and still you find that His/Her image is growing day by day in Ur Mind and.. U are loosing Ur thinking power and.. you cannot concentrate on something.... THEN You are in TROUBLE.....**

I dont think it's a silly question :)....
If you like someone you'd find it hard to find faults in them,, everything seems to be perfect about them.
And when you really like someone,you'd be interested in knowing more about them.. :)

Funguy I disagree coz when you're feeling lonely you'll settle for anything and its a state of desperation and neediness, it's no indication of how much you like the person.

Funguy I find myself thinking about him when I'm crowded all around my firends and having a good time...coz I keep thinking how much more wonderful it woudl be if he was around and I miss him most t that time :)

Cat, LK and LS, You are speaking from a girl's point-of-view. What I said may sound not so romantic but it is the reality. Men are engineered differently. You will live a very content life the day you realize this difference.
