Keep quiet. That way you'll understand their point or they will see what you mean with out unnecessary arguments, but in both cases it takes times. So stay patient.
there isnt really any use trying to make ur parents understand ur point of view... cus in the end.. even if they sady 'haan haan beta... teek hai'.. they will still have the last word.. and never REALLY agree with wat ur saying..
ive learnt this from looong agonising arguments with my mama dearest.. now i just stay chup chaap when a controversial topic arises :)
prove urself in life and show that u can manage on ur own and ur thoughts and goals are responsible, solid ones...and achieve them and then ur parents will themselves realise...bacha bara ho gya hae :)
beat them in Scrabble and Trivial pursuit.. that'll show them.. and if you lose, that'll show you.
