ive been doing exc..and my stomachs gone in abit, but not the lower part..i know its only been a week since ive done diet/exc…but i feel my upper abs getting firmer and not my lower ones…whys that…does that take more time or something or is there an exc for it…
and how long does it take to get rid of about 4 inches of the stomach atl;east.
I try upside down sit ups work best for a toned and strong stomach. As a martial artist i have to do these regularly so it keeps my stomach strong.
Also grab a relatively comfortable wieght say 5-10kg for each hand and stretch your arms up high, i know this sounds wierd but bear with me.
As you do this tense up your stomach and hold for about 8 seconds. this will strenthen your stomach and lower abs. Then repeat the movement say 8 times first then build upwards.
Also find a flat bench/stool and lie down your back along its lenth. Keep some of your body supported on your legs as you do this. Grab a heavy wieght say 20kg with both hands and heave it behind you over your head. Then bring it forwards on your stomach, you will be in agony the first time but repeat the move and you will feel it working the muscles that you normally don't use everday. This technique will help devolope a correct form and strong muscle structure.
I know these techniques are brutal and to some extent extreme but you will end up with a naturally strong stomach and decent shaped ab muscles. Also your stomach will be much stronger and you will fing that a punch to the waist does not hurt as much.
Furthermore this might sound wierd but when you do these techniques you should feel everypart of your stomach and arms hurting.... this is good for you it proves your body is working after a month the pain will lessen and you can either continue with the same techniques to keep in shape or go heavier with more wieghts to improve strength and endurance.
I might sound like some bodybuilding fanantic, but actually i'm for endurance and strenght rather than big bulky muscles that get in the way and slow you down. I'd rather have more compacted and correctly built muscles than big messy lumps of flesh. Dont worry you won't look like a wrestler but you will Insha-Allah be a much better figure.
^^ One thing is women usually have weaker backs so they have to be careful with the amount of weights and the moves..the bench one sounds like it would wreak havoc on my back:bummer:
