How do most people in Pakistan get around? Particularly low-income people. Is bicycle riding common? Do they ride buses or other vehicles? I’m mostly interested in affordable transportation for Pakistanis who don’t have much money. Thanks!
Most of Pakistan lives in poverty, so automobiles are ruled out.
I dont live in Pakistan so I can only give you an idea of what I have seen in my many trips to Pakistan.
As for methods used - bicycle and walking are often used for short distances. Occasionally busses are used for long journeys. Rickshas (a contraption popular in asia consisting of a motor bike with a carriage like structure on the back) are also used, but rarely as they are quite expensive compared to busses.
The most affordable is walking ofcourse, but i reckon Bus would be best for long journeys.
