Re: How do you/does your family
Birthdays in my house are not that big of a deal. But usually we bring a cake in the evening (ice cream yummm!) then we cut it, sing the traditional b-day song, take pics and just spend some quality family time during dinner outside somewhere.
My hubby's birthday is coming up soon and its our first birthday together as a married couple. I am so excited!
For my birthday, I usually get a celebration from friends and family.
But for me, that doesn't count.
Instead, I do one activity that normally I would never do, or something that no one would ever expect me to do.
So one day in a year, I have the absolute greatest time of my life!
Sure beats spending a day in a sheeshy Spa & having Ivanka slap some mud on your btocks.
Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse ME! My spa day is abso-freakin-lutely Sheeshy and I totally get some Grade A mud slapped on! Ya know why?

Im usually back home Pakistan vacationing during birthday time... When im not there, my family celeberates it without me, dad cuts the cake himself... they invite some close friends, and they always end up watching some embarassing old family video where i did something goofy when I was little, like start dancing in a random wedding or something of that sort, and laugh.
