Re: How do you curl your hair?

what size is the barrel of your curling iron? if it is small then you'll get tighter curls- a bigger barrel will give you softer curls

if you don't want to buy a new curling iron then just use bigger chunks of hair to curl at a time

spritz with hairspray (use a flexible hold one), allow to dry, then gently run your fingers through the ends to break up the curls

Re: How do you curl your hair?

wouldn't the hairspray still cause the curls to be hard?

Re: How do you curl your hair?

I just use mousse...and a big barrel curler...I hate hair spray...

Re: How do you curl your hair?

do they sell the barrels separately if i have a normal sized hair curler? i really don't want to buy a whole new big sized hair curler

in terms of hair spray or mousse are there ones that are actually good for the hair, whenever i think about hair spray i just think about all the damage it does to the hair. does anybody use hair spray that's totally natural and good, full of good vitamins and ingredients for your hair?

Re: How do you curl your hair?

that's why i said use a flexible hold hairspray- i like moroccan oil hairspray- it's really light and not sticky at all

Re: How do you curl your hair?

I have 3 different sizes of curlers. Each one you have to buy separately. I have a 1 inch barrel, that gives tighter curls, I have a 1.25 inch barrel, that gives amazing soft curls (but my hair is quite short right now, thats why this size works well for me right now), and I have a 1.5 inch barrel that gives almost like a blowdried look, but if you have really long hair, then it gives nice soft waves.

Also, I dont wrap my hair in the clamp of the barrel - like I dont clamp my hair down against the curler, I just wrap my hair around the barrel and hold it there - does that make sense?

This girl does a pretty good job, and also recommends some mousse to use on your hair to keep your curls in place.
