Yes, he does indeed have some ludicrous notions. And yes, the way in which one expresses emotions and nonverbal body language will vary across cultures. For instance, warm greetings between two males will be frowned upon in the West but is not an issue other parts of the world. However, Bob attributed “masking of emotion” solely to the west and said that in the west people hide their disdain for others under a smiley face mask. Um…no. There is no shortage of examples of people losing their chit in Western media and even in colloquial interactions. It’s not all 24/7 propriety over here. The guy’s all over the place.
