Matar Pulao is so easy peasy and takes me just half hour to make:

For 2 cups Basmati rice:

Take the rice and soak them in water about 15 minutes before you start.

Take a medium sized onion slice it, add oil and fry it until the onion is golden brown, add 1/4 cup of water and add in all the spices including the peas (spices: whole garam masala including zeera, black pepper, cinnamon sticks, bari elaichi, cloves).. fry until the water dries up.

add almost 3-3/4 cups of water and wait until it boils, add the rice(without the water you soaked them in) and let them come to a boil.

when the water is almost absorbed turn the heat to low and give ‘dum’ for almost 12 mins..

Aaloo Gosht

Meat: 1kg
Potatoes: 4
Onion: 4 (med-large size)
Tomatoes: 3
Salt: to tatse
Chili powder: 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
Corainder Powder: 4tsp
Garam Masala Powder: 1tsp
Green Cardamon: 2
Bay leaves: 2
Ginger Garlic paste: 1.5 tsp
Corainder leaves: 1/2 bunch
Green chilli Whole: 1 to 2

Method

Brown onion, (i grind onions in the grinder but you can use chopped) and put ginger garlic paste followed by all spices except garam masala. Put meat and bhoonify it for like 3 to 4 mins or till smell goes. If you using pressure cooker then time it from 7 to 10 mins depending on your meat.
When meat gets tendered put tomatoes in it and just wait for 2 mins. Then add potatoes and bhoonify it for a minute and put garam masala powder too. Let potatoes tender and add whole green chilli, it will give very good smell. When potatoes get tendered add coriander leaves and cover it for like 2 to 3 mins and serve.
